D2L Renewed by Ministry of Education with New Features Added
The Ministry of Education has signed a multi-year contract with D2L to renew Brightspace by D2L as the Ontario Virtual Learning Environment. In addition to significant changes made to improve the user experience over the past two years, a number of further enhancements have been announced as part of the new contract.
Brightspace by D2L features a clean, responsive design interface that adapts to different screen sizes and looks great on laptops, tablets and smartphones. It is available to all CDSBEO teachers and students and provides: · Virtual classrooms for content delivery, assessment and communication · Access to Ministry-provided digital resources including web-based resources, Ministry of Education developed course content and interactive tools New features have been announced as part of the new multi-year contract which CDSBEO plans to have available to teachers and students for the 2018-2019 school year. These include: · Parent Engagement through access to student progress and updates from teachers · Portfolio for creation, documentation, assessment and sharing of learning including an easy to use student-friendly app for all ages · Integration of TVO Resources |
